Women's Track Travels To Virgina

Charlottesville, Va. - The women's track and field team traveled to Charlottesville, Va., on Saturday to compete at the Lou Onesty/Milton G. Abramson Invitational. The women placed 12 athletes in the top 10. Tiffany Reid (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) broke the school's 100-meter record which she previously held, with a time of 12.36.

Amanda Dupis (East Sandwich, Mass.) lead the Crusaders with a third place in the high jump with a leap of 5'3". Other top finishers were Lesley Bautista (St. John's, Newfoundland) in the pole vault with a jump of 11'5.75" to earn fourth place and Sarah Croteau (Westminster, Mass.) in the 3000-meter run with a time of 10:39.80 to place fourth.

The women's 4x100-meter relay broke the school record with a time of 48.42 taking eighth place. The team included Dannielle Meder (Chicopee, Mass.), M. Siobhan Straub (Mattituck, N.Y.), Bautista and Reid.

The Crusaders compete again on April 16-17 with the Holy Cross Heptathlon.
