Track and Field Patriot League Polls Are Released

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. -The Holy Cross women's track and field team has been picked to finish sixth in the 2008 Patriot League preseason poll as voted on by head coaches and sports information directors from around the league. Bucknell was picked to finish first as it earned 12 of 16 first place votes and 96 total points. Lafayette had four first place votes and 86 total points as it was picked to finish second, followed by Navy with 74 total points, Army (64 total points), Lehigh (49 total points), Holy Cross (34 total points), Colgate (28 total points) and American (17 total points).

The men's track and field team was voted to finish eighth in the 2008 Patriot League preseason poll. Navy was picked to finish first as it earned 12 of 16 first place votes and 95 total points. Army had two first place votes and 82 total points as it was picked to finish second, followed by Bucknell with two first place voted and 81 total points, American (48 total points), Colgate (45 total points), Lehigh (44 total points), Lafayette (38 total points) and Holy Cross (15 total points).

The Crusaders are set to start their outdoor season March 22 at Dedham, Mass in the Husky Spring invitational. Start time is set for 10:00 A.M.
