Crusaders Continue Competition At Patriot League Championships

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Senior Brad Mish (Hadley, Mass.) took fourth place and qualified for the IC4A Championships at the second day of the three day Patriot League Championships held at Navy's Wesley A. Brown Field House in Annapolis, Md. The men's team closed out day two in seventh place with four points, while the women's team is in fourth place with 23 points.
The men's team was led by Mish with a fourth place finish in the 5000 meter run with an IC4A qualifying time of 14:40.04. Senior Stephen Mandravelis (Nashua, N.H.) placed ninth in the weight throw with a distance of 15.44 meters, while senior Andrew Maggio (Chelmsford, Mass.) qualified for the finals in the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.62. The 4x800 meter relay team ran by senior Stephen Schoenberger (North Hampton, N.H.), freshman Ben Brink (New Rochelle, N.Y.), freshman Stephen Madsen (New Providence, N.J.) and sophomore James Fletcher (Woburn, Mass.) took eighth with a season-best time of 8:01.75.
Senior Lesley Bautista (St. John's, Newfoundland) led the women's team with a third place finish in the long jump with a distance of 5.47 meters. The 4x800 meter relay, ran by freshman Katelyn Hartnett (Danvers, Mass.), sophomore Courtney Burgess (Dracut, Mass.), freshman Alison Nadeau (Norfolk, Mass.) and junior Maureen Meagher (Allentown, Pa.) also place third with an ECAC qualifying time of 9:05.5913. Freshman Alexandria Culkeen (Beverly, Mass.) placed sixth in the weight throw with a season best distance of 14.70 meters, while junior Sarah Croteau (Westminster, Mass.) placed eighth in the 5000 meter run with a time of 17:54.27. Junior Tiffany Reid (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) qualified for the finals in the 200 meter dash with a time of 25.65.
