Women's Track & Field Competes At Valentine Invitational

BOSTON, Mass. - The Holy Cross women's track and field team took part in the Valentine Invitational at Boston University on Friday afternoon.

Highlighting the day for the Crusaders was senior Courtney Walls (Tewksbury, Mass.), who tied for 11th place in the pole vault with a height of 3.36 meters.

Senior Emily Winacoo (Holden, Mass.) took 17th in the 500-meter dash with a time of 1:19.56.

Also finishing well for Holy Cross was freshman Lauren Courtney (Ashland, Mass.), who finished 29th in the 400-meter dash. Fellow freshman Alexandra Swiatocha (Mahopac, N.Y.) took 34th in the 1000-meter run.

The women's track and field time will finish the indoor season when they travel to Annapolis, Md. for the Patriot League Championships. Events will begin on February 17th at noon and continue through February 19th.
