Track And Field Breaks Three School Records At Valentines Invitationals

Boston, Mass. - The men's and women's track and field teams traveled to Boston, Mass this weekend to compete in the 2008 Valentine Invitational. Three new records were set during the meet. For the women, sophomores Tiffany Reid (Poughkeepsie, N.Y) and Olivia Pruszko (Monroe, Conn.) set new records and on the men's side it was junior Sebastian Fidelus (Jersey City, N.J.).
Reid set the new record in the 200-meter with a time of 25.57 coming in 21st place. Pruszko broke the 400-meter record with a new time of 57.64 finishing in 17th place. The top finisher for the women's team was junior Lesley Bautista (St. John's, Newfoundland) with a seventh place finish in the pole vault with a height of 11-09.75 feet.
On the men's side Fidelus set a new school record of 1:05.61 in the 500-meter race finishing in 15th place, he was also the top finisher for the Crusaders for the day.
The Crusaders compete again Friday, February 15th at Tufts. Start time is set for 11:00 a.m.
