Crusaders Compete At Reebok Indoor Games

BOSTON, Mass. - Senior Katherine Clifford (Norwood, Mass.) took third place in the weight throw as the Holy Cross women's track and field team competed at the Reebok Boston Indoor Games at the Reggie Lewis Track and Field Center on Friday evening. Holy Cross finished eighth out of 13 with 30.5 points.

Clifford finished in third place in the weight throw with a throw of 16.09 meters. Also leading the Crusaders in the field events was senior Lesley Bautista (St. John's, Newfoundland) with a fourth place finish in the pole vault, clearing a height of 3.4 meters. Junior Olivia Pruszko (Monroe, Conn.) finished fifth in the high jump with a jump of 1.53 meters and freshman Alexandria Culkeen (Beverly, Mass.) took sixth in the shot put with a throw of 12.27 meters.

In the track events, freshman Paige Sutherland (Groveland, Mass.) led the Crusaders with a fourth place finish in the 3000 meter run in 10:17.73, while senior Lauren Courtney (Ashland, Mass.) took fifth in the 400 meter dash in 58.40.

The Crusaders compete again, traveling to Orono, Maine for the Maine Open on Saturday, Feb. 7 at 11:00 a.m.
