Crusaders Take Part In Yale Track Classic

New Haven, Conn.- The Holy Cross men's and women's indoor track teams travel to Yale on Saturday to take part in the Yale Track Classic.

The women finished strong in several competitions including the 4x400 relay. Holy Cross took third place out of 11 schools in a time of 4:01.51.

Individually, freshman Elizabeth Alizzi (Syosset, N.Y.) took third place in the women's 3000-meter event with a time of 11:19.72. Senior Jessica Fallon (Nashua, N.H.) also earned a third place finish in the pole vault event. Fallon cleared a height of 3.20 meters. Freshman Danielle Meder (Chicopee, Mass.) finished fifth in the 60-meter hurdles.

The men's team was led by freshman Sebastian Fidelus (Jersey City, N.J.), who took sixth in the 800-meter run. Junior Nicholas Carr (Concord, Mass.) and senior John Nieskens (Peterborough, N.H.) each finished seventh in the weight throw and one mile run, respectively.

Both teams will travel to Boston, Mass. on January 27 for the Reebok Indoor Games.
