Sarah Dahlstrom Selected To Academic All-District Team

WORCESTER, Mass. – Junior Sarah Dahlstrom (Southborough, Mass.), a member of the Holy Cross women's track and field team, has been selected to the 2014 Capital One Academic All-District I squad, as announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America. The squad is comprised of student-athletes from Division I schools in the states of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island and Vermont.
Dahlstrom broke the school record in the heptathlon with a total of 4,289 points at the 2014 Patriot League outdoor championship, while finishing in fifth place. She also posted the top score on the team this season in the indoor pentathlon with a total of 3,310 points at Rhode Island. Dahlstrom placed second in the pentathlon at 2014 Patriot League indoor championship with 3,295 points, while finishing eighth at 2014 New England indoor championship with 3,257 points. A two-time selection to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, she was named to the Academic All-Patriot League team in both indoor and outdoor track as a junior.

By earning Academic All-District honors, Dahlstrom will now be on the ballot for the Academic All-America team. The Capital One Academic All-America squad will be announced on June 26.
