Sarah Dahlstrom Named To Academic All-Patriot League Team

WORCESTER, Mass.­  Junior Sarah Dahlstrom (Southborough, Mass.) has been selected to the 2014 outdoor track and field Academic All-Patriot League team, as voted on by the league's sports information directors. To be eligible for the Academic All-Patriot League team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade-point average and be a starter of key player in his/her sport.

Dahlstrom finished fifth overall and set a new Holy Cross school record in the heptathlon at the 2014 Patriot League Outdoor Championship. She surpassed the previous record set in 1991 by 87 points, finishing at 4,289. She also set career-best marks in the 200 meter dash (28.07), 100 meter hurdles (15.77), high jump (1.60 meters), long jump (5.10 meters), javelin throw (34.39 meters) and heptathlon (4,289 points) this outdoor season.

An Economics major, Dahlstrom holds a 3.63 cumulative grade-point average. This is the third time Dahlstrom has been named to the Academic All-Patriot League team after earning the honor for the 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 indoor seasons.
