Women's Track & Field Competes At Tiger Invitational

BOSTON, Mass. - Senior Stephanie Okpoebo (Chelmsford, Mass.) finished first in both the 200 meter dash and 400 meter run in the Tiger Invitational, the Crusaders fourth event of the year. Okpoebo scored times of 25.75 for the 200 meter and 1:01.72 for the 400 meter.

 Junior Abigail Mitchell (Manchester, N.H. ) placed first in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:22.45, while sophomore Caroline Carley (Barrington, Ill.) and senior Hannah McCormick (Newburyport, Mass.) took care of first and second place in the one mile run with times of 5:08.85 and  5:11.89.

Seniors Emily Hughes (Milton, Mass.) and Sandra van den Heuvel (Nashua, N.H.) took first and second in the 3,000 meter run.  Junior Sarah Dahlstrom (Southborough, Mass.) won the high jump with sophomore Melissa LaCoste (Amherst, N.H.) coming just behind her with the second place spot. Junior Michelle McGahan (Acton, Mass.) won the pole vault clearing a height of 3.45 meters.

The women's indoor track and field team will return to action on Saturday, Jan. 11, at the Yale Invitational, hosted by Yale University.
