Women's Track & Field Sixth In Patriot League Preseason Poll
WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross women's track and field team was selected to finish sixth in the 2013 outdoor track and field Patriot League preseason poll as voted on by head coaches and sports information directors from around the league. Navy was selected first with 11 first place votes and 95 overall points. Bucknell finished in a close second with 89 points and five first place tallies after winning the Patriot League Indoor Championship on Feb 17.
Lehigh claimed the third spot with 72 points while Army took fourth with 63 points. Lafayette landed fifth with 47 points as Holy Cross (41), Colgate (27) and American (14) rounded out the poll.
Holy Cross will begin outdoor action this Saturday, March 30, at the Dick Shea Open at 9:00 a.m.
