- Select members of the Holy Cross women's indoor track and field team will return to action on Saturday, Dec. 15, at the first of three scheduled Boston University Mini Meets beginning at 10:00 a.m. Last season, members of the team competed in two mini meets on Dec. 24 and Dec. 31.
- Sophomore Sarah Dahlstrom (Southborough, Mass.) was the lone Crusader student-athlete who traveled to the Rhode Island Pentathlon (12/7). She finished in seventh place out of 15 competitors with a score of 2,962. Other athletes represented Boston College, Dartmouth, Rhode Island and UMass Amherst. Her career-best score of 3,187 in the pentathlon came at the Patriot League Indoor Championship last season.
- Junior Stephanie Okpoebo (Chelmsford, Mass.) led Holy Cross at the Harvard Open (12/8) with two career-high times while also setting new school records in both events. She placed tied for second in the 55-meter dash in 7.17 seconds and third in the 300-meter dash with a time of 40.52 seconds. Senior Brittany Gorski (Tewksbury, Mass.) finished second in the 600-meter with a time of 1:40.87, just missing her career-best mark in the event by 26 one-hundredths of a second. In the field events, senior Kelcey Germain (Auburn, Mass.) led the Crusaders with a third place finish in the weight throw with a distance of 14.60 meters. Okpoebo received a Patriot League Honorable Mention in the conference's weekly indoor track and field release after being named M-F Athletic Patriot League Female Track Athlete of the Week last week.
