Women's Indoor Track And Field Fifth In Patriot League Preseason Poll
WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross women's indoor track and field team was selected to finish fifth in the Patriot League preseason poll as voted on by head coaches and sports information directors from around the league. Navy was selected to finish first with 95 points and 11 first place votes. Defending champion Bucknell was selected to finish second with 89 points and five first place votes.
Lehigh claimed the third spot with 71 points while Army took fourth with 58. Holy Cross landed fifth with 51 points and Colgate (38), Lafayette (32) and American (14) rounded out the poll.
Holy Cross is set to begin the 2012-2013 campaign tomorrow, Saturday, Dec. 1, at the Jay Carisella Invitational in Boston, Mass. at 9:30 a.m.
