Before Holy Cross: Four-year member of the varsity indoor and outdoor track and field teams at Central Catholic High School under head coach Kate Sullivan...team captain senior year...all-conference 2008-2011...named team runner of the year in 2012...team won state championship in 2012...member of school-record sprint medley relay, distance medley relay and 4x800m relay...also played three years of varsity soccer.

Personal: Daughter of William and Karen Carey...has two sisters (Margaret and Emma)...grandfather, Thomas Kelleher (Class of 1950) was captain of the Holy Cross football team and a Hall of Fame NFL referee...cousin, Chris Myers, plays for the Houston Texans...has not yet declared a major.
