Katelyn Hartnett Named To Academic All-Patriot League Team

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – Holy Cross senior Katelyn Hartnett (Danvers, Mass.) has earned one of 12 spots on the women's outdoor track and field Academic All-Patriot League team, as voted on by the Patriot League's track and field sports information directors. To be eligible for the Academic All-Patriot League team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average and be a starter or key player in his/her sport.

Hartnett holds a 3.44 cumulative grade point average while majoring in Accounting. She is a three-time member of the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll and this is the second time she has been named to the Academic All-Patriot League team. At the 2012 Patriot League Outdoor Championship, Hartnett finished fourth in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:11.58 and was part of the 4x400 and 4x800-meter relay teams. Earlier this season, she finished first in the 800 at both the UMass Invitational (4/14) and Holy Cross home meet (4/21).

Qualifying members of the women's track & field team will compete in the New England Championship today and tomorrow, May 11- 12, at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
