- The women's track and field team will travel to the Brown Springtime Invitational this weekend on Sunday, April 29, beginning at 10:30 a.m.
- Last season, the 4x100 meter relay team comprised of graduates Caitlin White and M. Siobhan Straub, sophomore Stephanie Okpoebo (Chelmsford, Mass.) and junior Melanie Forte (Milford, N.H.) won the event with a time of 48.18 seconds. Senior Erin Linnehan (Litchfield, N.H.) took third in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 14.86 seconds and junior Brittany Gorski (Tewksbury, Mass.) finished third in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:05.21.
- The Crusaders are coming off a first place finish in last weekend's home meet (4/21) with outstanding performances throughout the day. The team finished with 224 points, ahead of in-state rival UMass, which totaled 138 points. Two school records were broken and 12 student-athletes qualified for the New England Championship. Junior Kathleen Brekka (Hubbardston, Mass.) set a new mark in the 3,000 meter steeplechase with a time of 11:26.84 and the 4x100 meter relay team comprised of freshman Brianna Tabin (South Hadley, Mass.), Forte, freshman Katie Bobinski (Torrington, Conn.) and Okpoebo broke the record with a time of 47.40 seconds. Along with Tabin, Forte, Bobinski, Okpoebo, Brekka and Gorski, seniors Katelyn Hartnett (Danvers, Mass.), Sarah Mellea (North Arlington, Mass.) and Alexandria Culkeen (Beverly, Mass.) and freshmen Fiorella Johnson (Redding, Conn.), Mackenzie Arndt (Merrimack, Mass.) and Julia Levesque (West Simsbury, Conn.) all qualified for the NEC in their respective events.
