Women's Track & Field Picked Fourth In Patriot League Preseason Poll
WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross women's track and field team was selected to finish tied for fourth in the 2012 outdoor track and field Patriot League preseason poll as voted on by head coaches and sports information directors from around the league. Bucknell was selected first with 10 first place votes and 94 overall points. Navy finished in a close second with 89 points and six first place tallies. Bucknell is coming off a first place finish in this year's indoor championship and also won the 2011 outdoor championship for the 12th time.
Lehigh claimed the third spot with 73 points while Army and Holy Cross were selected fourth with 48 points apiece. Colgate (42), Lafayette (40) and American (14) rounded out the poll.
Holy Cross will begin outdoor action this Saturday, March 24, at the Husky Spring Open at 10:00 a.m.
