WORCESTER, Mass. - Senior Cassandra Anderson (Saugus, Mass.) has been named the AT&T Crusader of the Week, for competition from April 11-17. Anderson helped lead the Holy Cross women's track and field team to a second place finish at the Minuteman Invitational on Saturday.
At the Minuteman Invitational, Anderson took first place in the 400-meter dash, finishing in a time of 1:00.16. She also ran on a leg on the 4x400-meter relay team which earned a first place finish in a time of 4:02.62.
Anderson's time of 1:00.16 in the 400-meter dash was her second fastest of the outdoor season, behind only a time of 1:00.10 at the Duke Invitational on April 9.
The Crusaders return to action this Wednesday and Thursday, April 20 and 21, with the Holy Cross Heptathlon at the Hart Track.
