Women’s Track & Field Sixth In Patriot League Preseason Poll

WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross women's track and field team was selected to finish sixth in the 2011 outdoor track and field Patriot League preseason poll as voted on by head coaches and sports information directors from around the league. Navy was selected first, edging out defending champion Bucknell 95-89. The Mids, who won the indoor title, picked up 11 first place votes, while the Bison received five.

Army claimed the third spot with 68 points, Lehigh was selected fourth with 66 points and Colgate was voted fifth with 46 points. Holy Cross (36), Lafayette (32) and American rounded out the poll.

Holy Cross will continue outdoor action next week, April 2, at the American International Invitational.
