Scoreboard: No Team Scores at Valentine Invitational, Boston, Mass., 2/11
Schedule: Friday-Sunday, Feb. 18-20, at Patriot League Championship, Annapolis, Md.
- The Holy Cross women's track and field team will continue its indoor season at the Patriot League Championship hosted by Navy this weekend. Competition will occur at the Wesley A. Brown Field House in Annapolis, Md.
- Last season at the 2010 Patriot League Championship, sophomore Melanie Forte (Milford, N.H.) finished sixth in the 60 meter dash with a time of 8.13 seconds. Also racing on the straight away, junior Erin Linnehan (Litchfield, N.H.) tied her school record time of 8.99 seconds in the 60 meter hurdles, finishing in second place, while junior Cassandra Anderson (Saugus, Mass.) took fifth in the 500 with a time of 1:20.04.
- Several Crusaders rank high on the Patriot League performance list. Junior Katelyn Hartnett (Danvers, Mass.) leads the Crusaders, ranking second in the 800 with a time of 2:13.73, and fourth in the mile with a time of 4:57.82. Forte's time of 7.94 in the 60 meter dash, ranks her third, while Linnehan ranks fourth in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 9.03 seconds.
- Last weekend at the Valentine Invitational, multiple runners qualified for the New England Championship. Anderson secured a spot in the 500, running a time of 1:17.56. Freshman Stephanie Okpoebo (Chelmsford, Mass.), also qualified for the meet, running a time of 26.02 seconds in the 200. Senior Courtney Burgess (Dracut, Mass.) qualified in the 800, with a time of 2:17.20.
