Crusaders Set To Travel To UNH

  • The Holy Cross women's track and field team returns to team competition with a triangular meet at the University of New Hampshire on Saturday, Jan. 22. The Crusaders will compete against UNH and Quinnipiac starting at 12:00 p.m. at the Paul Sweet Oval in Durham, N.H.
  • Last season, Holy Cross competed in a dual meet against UNH, falling by a score of 103-74. Junior Katelyn Hartnett (Danvers, Mass.) and sophomore Erin Linnehan (Litchfield, N.H.) led the Crusaders on the track, with Hartnett finishing first in the 800 with a time of 3:01.34 and Linnehan finishing first in the 55 meter hurdles with a time of 8.47 seconds. Holy Cross swept the shot put with junior Alexandria Culkeen (Beverly, Mass.), taking first with a distance of 11.81 meters.
  • At the Sorlein Memorial Invitational last week, Hartnett qualified for the New England Indoor Championship in the 1,000 with a second place finish and time of 2:58.84. Hartnett's time was a season-best and just over five seconds off her school record time of 2:53.42. Culkeen qualified for the New England Championship in the weight throw with a season-best distance of 15.06 meters.
