  • The Holy Cross women's track and field team continues action over winter break when it travels to the Yale Invitational at the Coxe Cage in New Haven, Conn., on Saturday, Jan. 15.
  • The Yale Invitational marks the first competition of the new year that Holy Cross will field a complete lineup. At last year's Yale Invitational, the relay team of senior Courtney Burgess (Dracut, Mass.), sophomore Kathleen Brekka (Hubbardston, Mass.) and juniors Katelyn Hartnett (Danvers, Mass.) and Sarah Mellea (North Arlington, N.J.) took second place in the distance medley with a time of 12:39.62.  
  • At the Holy Cross New Year's Field Day, junior Alexandria Culkeen (Beverly, Mass.) led the team with a distance of 11.40 meters in the shot put. Culkeen's best distance of the season in the shot put is 11.64 meters, recorded at the Alden Invitational on Dec. 4.
  • At the Crowell Open, sophomore Kelsey Gardner (Malverne, N.Y.) and freshman Mariel Flood (Kinnelon, N.J.) competed in the 800. Gardner finished sixth overall with a time of 2:37.41, while Flood finished ninth with a time of 2:40.67.
