Holy Cross Women’s Track & Field Fifth In Patriot League Preseason Poll
WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross women's track and field team was selected to finish fifth in the 2010-2011 indoor track and field Patriot League preseason poll as voted on by head coaches and sports information directors from around the league.
The Bucknell women were a unanimous pick, receiving the most possible first place votes (14), earning 98 points. The Bison, who ran away with their 13th title last season, placed ahead of Navy (85 points) in the poll.
Army was selected to finish third with 71 points, while Lehigh (62) was fourth and Holy Cross (46) was fifth. Colgate edged Lafayette 39-33 for the sixth spot and American placed eighth (14).
The Crusaders kick off the 2010-2011 indoor season at the Alden Invitational on Saturday, Dec. 4, hosted by Brown University.
