DEDHAM, Mass. – Senior Tiffany Reid (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) qualified for the finals in two events, while sophomore Paige Sutherland (Groveland, Mass.) placed seventh in the 5,000 to lead the Holy Cross track and field teams at the New England Championship on Friday afternoon in Dedham, Mass. The Crusaders will compete in the final day of the Championship on Saturday, May 8 starting at 10:00 a.m.
Reid qualified for the finals in the 100 meter dash with the day's fastest time of 12.08 seconds. Reid then qualified for the finals in the 200 with a time of 24.80. Sutherland placed seventh in the 5,000 with a time of 17:23.38, while senior Sarah Croteau (Westminster, Mass.) placed 13th in the race with a time of 17:58.59. Senior Olivia Pruszko (Monroe, Conn.) qualified for the finals in the 400 with a time of 58.53 seconds and sophomore Erin Linnehan (Litchfield, N.H.) qualified for the finals in the 100 hurdles with a time of 14.90 seconds. Senior Timothy Richard (Attleboro, Mass.) led the men's team with an 11th place finish in the 10,000 with a time of 32:02.47
Saturday's final events will kick off with the 100 hurdles at 1:40 p.m., the 400 at 2:05 p.m., the 100 at 2:15 p.m. and the 200 at 3:15 p.m.
