Crusaders Set To Close Out Regular Season At Brown

  • The Holy Cross women's track and field team will compete in its last regular season meet of the year at the Brown Springtime Invitational on Sunday, April 25.
  • After last year's Springtime Invitational, junior Caitlin White (Miller Place, N.Y.) was named Patriot League Track Performer of the Week. At Brown, White placed ninth in the 200 with a time of 26.22 seconds and 13th in the 100 with a time of 12.94 seconds. Earlier in the week White was a member of the record setting sprint medley relay team and a member of the record breaking 4x200 relay team at the Penn Relays. White also ran in the 4x100 relay.
  • Holy Cross finished with top Patriot League performances on the track at Sunday's home meet. Sophomore Katelyn Hartnett's (Danvers, Mass.) time of 2:15.79 in the 800 ranks fifth on the Patriot League performance list, while junior Cassandra Anderson's (Saugus, Mass.) time of 2:16.82 ranks eighth. Sophomore Paige Sutherland's (Groveland, Mass.) a time of 17:40.80 in the 5,000 ranks fifth, while senior Olivia Pruszko's (Monroe, Conn.) time of 1:05.06 in the 400 hurdles ranks fourth. Holy Cross' time of 48.59 seconds in the 4x100 leads the Patriot League.  
  • In the field events, sophomore Alexandria Culkeen (Beverly, Mass.) recorded the fifth best performance in the league in the shot put with a distance of 12.24 meters. Senior Chantal Couture's (Taunton, Mass.) school record distance of 40.38 meters in the javelin ranks fifth in the league.
