Holy Cross Set To Host Home Meet At Hart Track

  • The Holy Cross women's track and field team returns to the Hart Track for action this week. On Wednesday-Thursday, April 14-15 Holy Cross will host its annual Heptathlon and on Saturday, April 17 the Crusaders will compete at the Hart Track against CCSU, Colgate, Hartford, Maine, Rensselaer & Vermont.
  • At last season's home meet, the Crusaders finished first out of seven teams and recorded eight individual first place finishes. The 4x100 relay team finished first with an ECAC qualifying and school record time of 47.66 seconds. The 4x400 relay finished the day with a first place finish and time of 3:58.81.
  • At last week's UMass Spring Meet, sophomore Paige Sutherland (Groveland, Mass.) finished with a personal-best time of 4:47.46 in the 1,500. Sutherland's time ranks ninth on the Patriot League performance list. Senior Claire Luke's (Delmar, N.Y.) season-best time of 11:33.70 in the 3,000 meter steeple chase at UMass last week ranks sixth and senior Rachel Amaral's (Raynham, Mass.) season-best distance of 40.59 meters in the discus ranks fifth.
