DURHAM, N.H. – Freshman Brittany Gorski (Tewksbury, Mass.) placed third in the 400 hurdles to lead the Holy Cross women’s track and field team at the New Hampshire Invitational in Durham, N.H. Saturday afternoon. Gorski finished third with a time of 1:05.30.
Sophomore Jennifer Bautista (St John's, Newfoundland) finished 13th in the 100 with a time of 13.93 seconds, while freshman Bridget Straub (Mattituck, N.Y.) finished 14th in the 100 with a time of 14.22 seconds and 14th in the 200 with a time of 27.91. Freshman Sarah Meinelt (Topsfield, Mass.) placed 11th in the 400 with a time of 1:05.54. In the field events, the Crusaders were led by freshman Nicole Hanlon (Lynn, Mass.) with an eighth place finish in the shot put with a distance of 10.41 meters and freshman Kelcey Germain (Auburn, Mass.) with a 10th place finish in the hammer throw with a distance of 36.16 meters.
The Crusaders return to central Massachusetts for the UMass Invitational on Saturday, April 10, starting at 11:30 a.m.
