Holy Cross Womens Track And Field Races At RPI Invitational
TROY, N.Y. – Six first place finishers paced the Holy Cross women’s track and field ream at the RPI Early Outdoor Invitational in Troy, N.Y. Saturday afternoon. Leading the way was senior Claire Luke (Delmar, N.Y.) with a first place finish in the 3,000 meter steeplechase. Luke finished first with a time of 11:48.55.
Also crossing the line first for the Crusaders was sophomore Erin Linnehan (Litchfield, N.H.) in the 100 hurdles with a time of 15.76 seconds, senior Olivia Pruszko (Monroe, Conn.) in the 400 hurdles with a time of 1:05.53, freshman Melanie Forte (Milford, N.H.) in the 100 meter dash with a time of 13.29 seconds and junior Cassandra Anderson (Saugus, Mass.) in the 800 with a time of 2:22.07. Senior Rachel Amaral (Raynham, Mass.) placed first in the discus with a distance of 38.34 meters.
Holy Cross travels to New Hampshire next weekend, April 3, for a meet against the Wildcats. Race time is set for 11:00 a.m.
