Holy Cross Womens Track And Field Earns All-League Honors
WEST POINT, N.Y. - Senior Tiffany Reid (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) was named the Track Athlete of the Meet and was a first team All-League finisher in two events at the Patriot League Indoor Track & Field Championship Feb. 19-21. Reid took first in the 60 meter dash with an ECAC Championship qualifying mark and school record time of 7.65 seconds and then placed first in the 200, recording an ECAC Championship qualifying mark of 24.98 seconds.
Sophomore Paige Sutherland (Groveland, Mass.) earned two second team All-League honors for her second place finishes in the 3,000 and 5,000. In the 3,000, Sutherland finished with a personal-best time of 10:00.90 and in the 5,000 she took second with a personal-best time of 17:29.20. Senior Olivia Prusko (Monroe, Conn.) earned second team All-League honors for her second place finish in the 500. Prusko narrowly missed hitting an ECAC qualifying mark, finishing with a season-best time of 1:17.08. Sophomore Erin Linnehan (Litchfield, N.H.) earned second team All-League honors for her school record setting performance in the 60 meter hurdles. Linnehan finished second with a school record time of 8.99 seconds. Sophomore Katelyn Hartnett (Danvers, Mass.) finished with second team All-League honors in the 1,000. Hartnett ran a season-best 2:57.88, taking second place.
Select members of the Holy Cross women's track and field teams will continue competition next weekend, Feb. 26-27 at the New England Championship. Reid qualified in the 60 and 200, Sutherland qualified in the one mile, 3,000 and 5,000, Pruszko qualified in the 500 and pentathlon, Linnehan in the 55 meter hurdles and Hartnett in the 800 and 1,000.
