KINGSTON, R.I. - Senior Tiffany Reid (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) placed second in the 55 meter dash and fifth in the 200 to lead the Holy Cross women's track and field team at the Sorlein Invitational on Friday night in Kingston, R.I. Reid placed second in the 55 with a time of 7.32 second, just .05 seconds off her school record, and fifth in the 200 with a time of 26.57 seconds.
Senior Olivia Pruszko (Monroe, Conn.) was a top finisher in the 500 for Holy Cross, finishing in second place with a time of 1:18.87. Junior Cassandra Anderson (Saugus, Mass.) finished fifth in the 200 with a time of 1:20.44. Sophomore Erin Linnehan (Litchfield, N.H.) placed second in the 55 meter hurdles with a time of 8.91 seconds, while sophomore Katelyn Hartnett (Danvers, Mass.) finished second in the 1,000 with a time of 2:59.73.
Holy Cross' 4x400 relay took second with a time of 4:04.74. Anderson, Hartnett, Freshman Rachelle Sylvia (Westerly, R.I.) and Pruszko teamed up for the relay.
Holy Cross continues competition next week, Jan. 23, at New Hampshire. Racing is set to begin at 12:00 p.m.
