The Holy Cross women's tennis team concluded the fall season with its third straight victory with a 8-1 win over Assumption to improve to 3-2 on the year and will look to use the momentum to have a successful spring season.
Freshman Carolyn Chandley (Worcester, Mass.) had an impressive start to her collegiate career this fall as she went 9-2 in singles match and 7-4 in doubles matches with her partner freshman Emily Marr (Holden, Mass.).
Freshman Jen Daffron (Ramsey, N.J.) made her collegiate debut against Assumption as a member of the No. 3 doubles team with junior Kathryn Wilkie (Oak Brook, Ill.). The team won the No. 3 doubles match, 8-1.
Wilkie went 4-0 in singles matches this fall and junior Ivette Konopka (Shelton, Conn.) went 6-2, while Marr and junior No. 1 singles player Kristen Meahl (Falmouth, Maine) each went 7-4.
