The Holy Cross women's tennis team, along with the men's team, will host Hofstra on Sunday, Oct. 5, for the first regular season matches on the new Holy Cross Tennis Courts. The matches will start at 11:00 a.m.
Junior Kristen Meahl (Falmouth, Maine), freshman Emily Marr (Holden, Mass.) and freshman Carolyn Chandley (Worcester, Mass.) each won their singles matches for the Crusaders in the match at Providence. Chandley and Marr also won their No. 2 doubles match.
Chandley has won her first four collegiate singles matches, while Chandley and Marr are 3-1 as a doubles team.
Several Crusaders have had a strong start to the year as Meahl has a 3-1 record in singles matches, while junior Kathryn Wilkie (Oak Brook, Ill.) is 3-0, junior Ivette Konopka (Shelton, Conn.) is 2-1 and Marr is 3-1.
