Holy Cross To Open New Courts Against Merrimack

Schedule: Wednesday, Sept. 24 at Providence, Providence, R.I., 4:00 p.m.The Holy Cross women's tennis team will return to action when they travel to Providence, R.I., to meet Providence on Wednesday, Sept. 24 at 4:00 p.m. The Crusaders will then play at Stonehill on Saturday, Sept. 27 at 10:00 a.m. Holy Cross will then play the first match on the new Holy Cross Tennis Courts, when it meets Merrimack on Sunday, Sept. 28 at 2:00 p.m.
Junior Kristen Meahl (Falmouth, Maine) received the Siena Invitational Sportsmanship Award along with Ashley Rissolo of Providence.
Freshman Carolyn Chandley (Worcester, Mass.) won her first three collegiate matches to win the Singles C-Flight championship at the Siena Invitational, while junior Kathryn Wilkie (Oak Brook, Ill.) won the D-Flight title.
Freshman Emily Marr (Holden, Mass.) also had a strong collegiate debut as she advanced all the way to the B-Flight finals.
Last spring season, the Crusaders lost a close match at Providence on April 15, by a score of 4-3.
