WORCESTER, Mass. - Holy Cross athletic director Richard M. Regan, Jr., and head coach Mike Lucas have announced the 2007 fall schedule for the Crusader men's and women's tennis teams. The men's team is scheduled to take part in nine matches and tournaments this fall, while the women's squad will be in action seven times.
The men's team opens the season at the Salve Regina Doubles Invitational on Sept. 8, and will then take part in the Fairfield Doubles Festival on Sept. 9. Following a match at Coast Goard on Sept. 15, Holy Cross will participate in the Wheaton Invitational on Sept. 16. The Crusaders play host to Siena on Sept. 23, then head to the Connecticut Invitational on Sept. 28-29. A home match with Rhode Island follows on Oct. 3, followed by the Stonehill Invitational on Oct. 6-7. Select individuals will close out the fall portion of the schedule at the ITA Regional, which begins on Oct. 18 in Princeton, N.J.
The women begin the fall season at the Fairfield Doubles Festival on Sept. 8, followed by a match at Merrimack on Sept. 16. Holy Cross then travels to Stonehill on Sept. 22, before playing host to Siena on Sept. 23. The Crusaders will next take part in the Albany Invitational on Sept. 29-30, before heading to Fairfield, Conn., for the New England Championship, from Oct. 12-14. Select individuals will close out the fall portion of the schedule at the ITA Regional, which begins on Oct. 19 in Norfolk, Va.
