WORCESTER, Mass. - Five members of the Holy Cross women's tennis team have been selected to the 2008 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the league office, including junior Natalie Lin (Winchester, Mass.) who led the Crusaders with a 3.85 grade-point average in the spring semester. Holy Cross' five selections were the most in the league.
The other members of the team to be named to the honor roll were junior Melanie Bunke (Glastonbury, Conn.), sophomore Ivette Konopka (Shelton, Conn.), sophomore Kristen Meahl (Falmouth, Maine) and Chase Fitzsimmons (Brielle, N.J.).
A total of 19 student-athletes from women's tennis teams around the league were named to the honor roll. To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and be awarded a varsity letter in one of the 16 League-sponsored winter or spring championship sports.
