Women's Tennis Falls 5-2 To Bryant

Worcester, Mass. - The Holy Cross women's tennis team (2-3) was unable to overcome tough singles matches as they dropped a home match to Bryant 5-2. By winning five of the singles matches, including two in the third set, the Bulldogs overcame the Crusaders for the victory.

Carrie Simmons (Raynham, Mass.) got the lone singles win for the Crusader women as she rolled at number one singles, 6-0, 6-2.

Holy Cross did manage the doubles point by winning two of the three matches. Simmons and Kerry Trimmer (Spring Lake, N.J.) and the combination of Meg Moran (Concord, N.H.) and Meredith Bacon (Hanover, N.H.) got the two victories.

The Crusader women will look to get back to .500 when they host a home match with Springfield College tomorrow, Oct. 5 at 3:00 p.m.
