WORCESTER, Mass. - The Holy Cross women's tennis team dropped a tough home match on Sunday to Connecticut College. Splitting their six singles matches, the Crusaders were unable to gain an edge in doubles. Connecticut College took two of the three doubles matches for the 4-3 win.
Carrie Simmons (Raynham, Mass.) won both her singles and doubles matches on the day. She teamed up with Kerry Trimmer (Spring Lake, N.J.) for the doubles victory. Other Crusaders who won singles matches were Margaret Moran (Concord, N.H.) and Katie Guarino (Reading, Mass.).
The Crusader women fall to 1-1 on the season. Next up for the women is a home match against Bentley College on Wednesday, September 21 at 3:30 p.m.
