Holy Cross Women's Tennis Falls To Fairfield, 6-1

WORCESTER, Mass. - The Holy Cross women's tennis team fell to Fairfield, 6-1, on Saturday afternoon at the Holy Cross Tennis Courts. With the loss, the Crusaders fall to 3-5 overall, while the Stags improve to 7-1.

The Stags earned the doubles point as they won all three matches. Holy Cross won the No. 6 singles match as junior Ivette Konopka (Shelton, Conn.) improved to 7-3 on the season as she defeated Caitlin Savoy, 6-4, 6-3. Fairfield took the other five singles matches in straight sets to earn the 6-1 win.

The Crusaders return to action on March 22, when they play Bridgewater State at the Holy Cross Tennis Courts at 11:00 a.m.
