HC Falls At Albany, 7-0, In Spring Season-Opener

ALBANY, N.Y. - The Holy Cross women's tennis team fell at Albany, 7-0, on Feb. 14, in the spring season-opener for the Crusaders. With the loss, the Crusaders fall to 3-3 overall, while the Great Danes improve to 5-0.

In the No. 1 singles match, junior Kristen Meahl (Falmouth, Maine) won six games as she fell to Susan Ma, 6-3, 6-3. She is now 7-5 overall this season for Holy Cross. In No. 4 singles, freshman Carolyn Chandley (Worcester, Mass.) was defeated by Laine Mackey, 6-1, 6-0. Chandley has a team-best overall record of 9-3.

The Crusaders return to action when they play Sacred Heart on Feb. 21 in Middlebury, Conn., at 6:00 p.m.
