Women’s Tennis Sends Nine To Academic Honor Roll
WORCESTER, Mass. – Nine members of the Holy Cross women's tennis team earned a spot on the 2014 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the conference office. The Crusaders' nine selections to the Academic Honor Roll were the most in the Patriot League. Holy Cross was led by senior Molly Montgomery (Winnetka, Ill.) who earned the accolade for the third time in her career.
Senior Maya Welch (Rye, N.Y.), and sophomores Abby Henry (Wellesley, Mass.) and Rachael Studley (Lakeville, Mass.) all were named to the honor roll for the second straight season. First-time members to the Academic Honor Roll included seniors Mary McAuliffe (Peru, N.Y.) and Katie McKenna (Longmeadow, Mass.), junior Taylor Stathis (Rockaway Beach, N.Y.), and sophomores Jaclyn Carroll (Tewksbury, Mass.) and Addie Devine (Cumberland Foreside, Maine). Henry boasted the highest GPA on the team with an impressive 3.93 grade-point average.
A total of 57 student-athletes from women's tennis teams around the league earned spots on this year's Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a grade point average of 3.20 or better during the spring semester.
