Women's Tennis Falls to Boston University, 7-0

BOSTON, Mass. - The Holy Cross women's tennis team dropped its match to Boston University, 7-0 at the Boston University Tennis and Track Center on Thursday afternoon. With the win, the Terriers improve to 4-4 on the season, while the Crusaders fall to to 5-5 overall. 

Holy Cross No. 1 singles player, junior Taylor Stathis (Rockaway Beach, N.Y.) lost to Johanna Hyoty, 6-0, 6-0, while Crusader freshman Virginia Peck-Philips (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.) dropped her No. 2 singles match, 6-0, 6-0. 

The Holy Cross No. 3 doubles duo of senior captain Maya Welch (Rye, N.Y.) and freshman Marielle Newell (St. Louis, Mo.) lost their match to Sami Lieb and Kendal Drake, 6-2. 

The Crusaders return to action on Friday, March 14, when they will travel to Brown for a 3:30 p.m. match.
