Women’s Tennis Releases 2014 Spring Slate

WORCESTER, Mass. –  The Holy Cross women's tennis program has announced the 2014 spring schedule. The team will compete in 10 matches throughout the spring season before completing in the Patriot League Championship in April. The Crusaders begin the spring tour with seven road matches before returning home to host three matches at the Sinnott Family Tennis Facility to close out the season. On Feb. 16, Holy Cross will kick its season off with an away indoor match versus Southern New Hampshire. The Crusaders will then play Boston University on Feb. 20 and then take a three week break before picking up action in March.

Holy Cross will have an eventful March as they are slated to compete in five away matches. The Crusaders will return to action in Providence, R.I. taking on Brown on March 14. Holy Cross will return to action in Worcester, Mass. on March 19 but will compete as visiting opponents as the team travels to Clark. On March 21-22 Holy Cross will travel to compete in two matches hosted by Army in West Point, N.Y. On March 21, the Crusaders will face off against the host team, Army, and then will compete against Lafayette the following day, March 22. The Crusaders will complete their string of seven straight away matches with a face off against Bentley on March 30.

The Crusaders return to home action on April 4-5 and will take on Simmons and American International. Holy Cross ends its regular season on April 13 with a home matchup against Colby. Each home match in the month of April will be hosted at the Sinnott Tennis Facility in Worcester, Mass. Holy Cross will look to make a successful run in the Patriot League Women's Tennis Championship held in Lewisburg, Pa. from April 18-20.
