  • The Holy Cross women's tennis team will play one match this week versus Merrimack on Tuesday, Sept. 17 at 3:30 p.m. in North Andover, Mass.
  • Last week, the Crusaders went 2-0 and also finished in first place at the Salve Regina Doubles Invitational. Holy Cross defeated Siena, 4-3, and also beat Connecticut College, 7-0. The Crusaders now stand at 2-1 on the season.
  • Holy Cross freshman Marielle Newell (St. Louis, Mo.) was named's Crusader of the Week for her performance this past week. She posted a 2-0 record in singles matches and a 5-0 record in doubles matches paired with senior captain Maya Welch (Rye, N.Y). The pair won the Flight C tournament at the Salve Regina Doubles Invitational. She holds a perfect 3-0 record in singles action this season and is 5-1 in doubles matches.
  • Crusaders senior Molly Montgomery (Winnetka, Ill.) won both of her singles matches versus Siena and Conn. College and also went 5-0 in doubles action with sophomore Jaclyn Carroll (Tewksbury, Mass.). The duo won the Flight B championship at the Salve Regina Tournament.
