WORCESTER, Mass. - Holy Cross athletic director Richard M. Regan, Jr. and head coach Lisa Meola have announced the 2013 Holy Cross women's tennis 2013 spring schedule. The team will start the season during the weekend of Feb. 23-24 on the road at Stonehill and St. Francis, respectively.
After a two week hiatus, the team will host its home opener versus St. Anselm on March 15. Five days later, Holy Cross will entertain Curry in Worcester, Mass before heading to West Point, N.Y. to play a tri-match against Patriot League foes Army and Lehigh on March 22-23.
In April, the team will play back-to-back home matches versus Simmons on April 7 and against Sacred Heart on April 13, before it travels to Brandeis on April 21. The Crusaders will then participate in the Patriot League Championship held at West Point, N.Y. on April 26-28 to conclude their season.
Holy Cross hopes to improve on its 2-2 record from the 2012 fall season. The team looks for many great performances from freshman Jaclyn Carroll (Tewksbury, Mass.); junior Maya Welch (Rye, N.Y.) and senior captain Jessica DeSimone (Lincoln, R.I.) in singles, as well as freshmen Addie Devine (Cumberland Foreside, Maine) and Abby Henry (Wellesley, Mass.) in doubles.
