Six Women's Tennis Players Make Academic Honor Roll

WORCESTER, Mass. - Six members of the Holy Cross women's tennis team have been selected to the 2011-2012 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the conference office. The Crusaders' six selections to the honor roll were tied for the most in the league this season. Leading the way for Holy Cross was senior Emily Marr (Jefferson, Mass.), who was named to the team for the fourth consecutive season.

Crusaders who earned their third career selection to the honor roll were senior Carolyn Chandley (Worcester, Mass.) and junior Jessica DeSimone (Lincoln, R.I.). In addition, senior Jen Dafron (Ramsey, N.J.) and sophomore Molly Montgomery (Winnetka, Ill.) were named to the team for the second time, and senior Meaghan Fitzpatrick (Hinsdale, Ill.) was honored for the first time.

A total of 38 student-athletes from women's tennis teams around the league earned spots on this year's Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a grade point average of 3.20 or better during the spring semester.
