- The Holy Cross women's tennis hosts two opponents this week, with Curry coming to Worcester on Wednesday, March 28, followed by a Friday afternoon match-up with Endicott. Both matches are set to start at 3:30 p.m. and will take place on the Holy Cross Tennis Courts.
- Holy Cross and Curry have not competed against each other in over seven seasons as this is the first match-up between the two in recent history. Curry is a Division III institution located in Milton, Mass. The squad currently owns a 7-7 record this season, including four wins and five losses on the road. The squad opened up the spring slate with a 7-2 loss against common opponent Smith.
- Holy Cross and Enidicott have not competed against each other in over seven seasons as this is the first match-up between the two in recent history. Endicott is a Division III institution located in Beverly, Mass. The squad is 1-1 so far this spring and also competed in this past weekend?s Wheaton Doubles Invitational. The Gulls are 10-2 overall, including a 6-1 record as the away team. They won the 2011 Commonwealth Coast Conference Women?s Tennis Championship this past fall.
- The Crusaders participated in the Wheaton Doubles Invitational this past weekend, coming away with five wins and four losses in all. Sophomore Molly Montgomery (Winnetka, Ill.) and freshman Taylor Stathis (Rockaway Beach, N.Y.) made it to the final round of the singles competition, but lost in the final match. The doubles duo of senior Emma Rudnik (Lake Bluff, Ill.) and junior Jessica DeSimone (Lincoln, R.I.) went 2-1 on the day, losing the first round of action but then came back to win the consolation bracket of the doubles flight two.
