WORCESTER, Mass. - Holy Cross athletic director Richard M. Regan, Jr. and head coach Lisa Meola announced the Holy Cross women's tennis 2012 spring slate today. The team will start the season on March 20, playing at Stonehill.
The Crusaders continue their first month of competition with the Wheaton Doubles Invitational on March 25. Just two days later, the team will host its first of three matches against Curry (March 27). Holy Cross will remain at home to face-off against Endicott on March 30 and Wagner on March 31.
After a week-long break, the Crusaders will resume action at Wheaton on April 10. The team will then travel to Bryant for a match on April 12. The next day, April 13, Holy Cross will be away to take on Army. For the third straight day, the Crusaders will have an away match, this time against Lafayette at West Point (April 14). The team will have a short break before going away to Clark on April 18. Holy Cross will finish the season with the Patriot League Championship, beginning on April 20.
The Crusaders look to remain strong after a fall season that ended in a 7-1 record. The team looks for more great performances from seniors Emily Marr (Jefferson, Mass.) and Carolyn Chandley (Worcester, Mass.) in singles play and doubles team junior Jessica DeSimone (Lincoln, R.I.) and senior Emma Rudnik (Lake Bluff, Ill.).
