- Holy Cross and Hartford have met nine times in the last six seasons. The Crusaders are 7-2 in the nine matches as the Hawks won both meetings in the 2010-2011 season. The team lost by identical 4-3 scores last season. Hartford is currently 1-2 on the season, topping Springfield and losing to common opponent Providence and Siena. The team is led by new head coach Mike Louis.
- Holy Cross is currently on a four-match win streak. This is the first time a Crusaders squad has put together a four-game win streak in over six seasons of play. Holy Cross has won three matches in a row three times since the 2004-2005 season, but the win streaks have stopped there.

Senior Emma Rudnik (Lake Bluff, Ill.) is a perfect 4-0, including a 3-0 record at No. 6 singles. Fellow seniors Carolyn Chandley (Worcester, Mass.) and Emily Marr (Jefferson, Mass.) have 6-1 records while freshman Taylor Stathis (Rockaway Beach, N.Y.) holds a 5-1 record, including a perfect 4-0 record as the team's No. 2 singles player. Sophomore Mary McAuliffe (Peru, N.Y.) rounds out the team's top performers with a 3-1 record.
