Women's Tennis Aims For Three Home Wins

  • The Holy Cross women's tennis team will be hosting three matches this week as they begin by welcoming Connecticut College to Worcester on Tuesday, Sept. 27 at 3:30 p.m. Later in the week, the Crusaders will take on Merrimack on Friday, Sept. 30 at 3:30 p.m. before squaring off against Trinity on Saturday, Oct. 1, at 1:00 p.m. All matches will be held on the Holy Cross Tennis Courts.
  • The Crusaders have gone 0-3 versus Connecticut College over the last six seasons, last losing 6-3 on April 16, 2010. Holy Cross has had better success against Merrimack, going 3-1 over the last six seasons, last coming out victorious 5-2 on October 8, 2009. The Crusaders will also face tough opponent Trinity on Saturday, last falling to the Bantams 6-1 on Sept. 22, 2010.
  • Holy Cross's matches from last week were postponed due to rain. In the upcoming week, senior Carolyn Chandley (Worcester, Mass.) will look to continue her winning streak, as she has won against all three of her opponents this season in the No. 2, No. 1 and No. 4 singles positions.
