Women's Tennis Continues Fall Season

- The Holy Cross women's tennis team begins a five match homestand on Tuesday, welcoming Connecticut College to the Holy Cross tennis courts starting at 3:30 p.m. Later in the week, they play host to Stonehill on Thursday, Sept. 22 at 3:30 p.m. before squaring off against Wagner on Saturday, Sept. 24 at noon. All matches will be held on the Holy Cross Tennis Courts
- The Crusaders have gone 0-2 versus Connecticut College over the last six seasons, last losing 4-3 on Sept. 18, 2005. Holy Cross has had better success against Stonehill, going 2-0 over the last six seasons, last coming out victorious 4-3 on October 8, 2008. The Crusaders will face Wagner for the first time in the program's history on Saturday.
- Seniors Carolyn Chandley (Worcester, Mass.) and Emily Marr (Jefferson, Mass.) led the Crusaders at the 2011 Women's Grass Court Doubles Tournament this past weekend, winning the Flight B championship. The duo is now a team-best 5-1 when playing doubles, including a 2-1 record in dual-matches and 3-0 in tournament play.
- This was the fourth straight season Holy Cross has played in the Grass Doubles Tournament. The Crusaders combined for their best performance in those four years, as they placed third in 2008, 2009 and 2010. They combined for the most points as well, tying for first with 12 points, tying Curry.
